Summer B. Cook, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of New Hampshire. She earned her BS in Exercise Science at East Stroudsburg University and her MS and PhD in Exercise Science and Science Education from Syracuse University. She is an exercise scientist with expertise in neuromuscular function, resistance training and aging. Her research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and the American College of Sports Medicine. She has published her research in top tier journals within the field of Exercise Science. Dr. Cook also serves as the Vice Chair of the Institutional Review Board and facilitates the Responsible Conduct of Research Training at the University of New Hampshire. Dr. Cook mentors several undergraduate and graduate students on designing, conducting, and disseminating research and familiarizes students with the prcess and policies of the Institutional Review Board.
