Steve Rupkey, CIH

Argonne National Laboratory, IL

Mr. Steve Rupkey has been with Argonne National Laboratory in Lemont, IL since 2013. He is currently the human subjects research, biosafety and ISO 45001 programs manager. Prior to this he was Argonne’s worker safety and health programs manager and the safety lead for the Joint Center for Energy Storage Research, a DOE-funded energy innovation hub with 20 partner institutions.

He is a certified industrial hygienist (CIH) with over 30 years of experience in the field of occupational health and safety. Much of his career has been in consulting and private industry employment where his experiences have been utilized to recognize, evaluate and control occupational injuries and illnesses.
