Brenda J. Klement, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Department of Medical Education, Morehouse School of Medicine, Atlanta, GA.
Dr. Klement has served on Morehouse School of Medicine’s (MSM) Institutional Review Board since 1999. She has served as chair since 2007 and is the assistant director of the IRB Office. She played a key role in MSM’s successful attempt to achieve initial accreditation (and subsequent reaccreditation) of its human research protection program by AAHRPP. In addition to her role in the IRB, she serves as the Curriculum Director for the first-year medical program, is course director of a graduate laboratory course, and teaches in several medical and graduate courses at MSM.
