David C. Matesanz, JD, CIP, CHRC

Kaiser Permanente - Northern California

David is the director of the Kaiser Permanente Institutional Review Board for Northern California. Additionally, he serves as the financial conflict of interest officer for research. Prior to joining KP, David served as the Director of Research Review and a chair for the Duke University Health System IRB. He has experience overseeing high volume research portfolios with submissions in a variety of areas. David is a lawyer by training and holds a JD from Fordham University and a Bachelor’s from Brown University. He is a member of the Council for Certification of IRB Professionals and is a member of the Diversity Advisory Committee for PRIM&R.
