Linda Mayo, BA, CIP, is the Director of the HRPP at the University of New Mexico. She has been working in human research protections for over 17 years. Ms. Mayo is a site visitor, team leader, and Step 1 Reviewer for the AAHRPP, Inc. and, in 2016, she co-founded the national SBER Network, a collaborative of IRB professionals that focus on the unique issues and challenges of ethical oversight of SBER, and which is hosted by PRIM&R. She has served on several PRIM&R conference planning committees and presented at national and international conferences. Ms. Mayo has also conducted NIH-funded research at the Mind Research Network focused on the ethics of returning incidental findings in neuroimaging research and has co-authored several publications on incidental findings. Ms. Mayo is the recipient of this year’s PRIM&R ARENA Legacy Award.
